Rubix Outdoor LED Wall Sconce

Really nice construction, impressed with the quality of the unit. Haven't installed yet so hopefully the light output is strong, I'll update our review then.

I had excellent assistance in finding products. Very helpful, professional and patient. Really knowledgeable about lighting products and flexible to work with me. (I worked mostly with Gladys G., but the whole team worked well together to help).

We placed these lights in the aluminum finish for outdoor use during our remodel about 5 years ago. They still work great, and never had any functional problems, however some of the lights now have the plastic veneer on the sides peeling off, and the aluminum color is also coming off. I'm guessing they would have been fine for indoors, but they are not holding up as well as expected for outdoor use.

Most LED lights offer scant illumination that tends to be cool and distorts the earth tones of most house colors. This sconce provides enough light to be useful, in warm tones that flatter a house. The mounting plate is robust and allows a tight connection with the junction box without warping. Construction attention to detail (like 'O' rings to seal the fixture to wall plate screws, seamless cast design, well finished hearty screws with precision driver slots, shielded lead wires, smooth material transition seams and neat internal wiring) is evident throughout. Included are wire nuts, a spare mounting screw and a spare screw finished with powder coat to hold the fixture to the mounting plate. The fixture is rated for wet locations and the construction gives me confidence that water ingress will not be a problem. This is a thoroughly thought out wall fixture that is very well constructed and should be complementary to most houses in many applications. I will look for more WAC Lighting fixtures in the future.

This light throws good general uplight on the wall and ceiling (if close enough) but needs a special electronic dimmer which is pretty expensive, at about $80, and the dimmer may need to be special wired to the fixture. All in all, a nice light.
