Sign InRodolfo Dordoni was born in Milan in 1954 and graduated in Architecture from Politecnico University in 1979. He was responsible for the art direction of Artemide's glass collection, Cappellini's collection from 1979-89, FontanaArte's furniture collection, Foscarini's lamps and Minotti since 1998.
He designs for various companies like Flos, Artemide and Foscarini and established the Dordoni Architetti collaborative, developing projects for houses, complexes, and industrial and commercial areas.
Rodolfo Dordoni has a traditional approach to contemporary lighting design that allows his products to remain relevant and familiar throughout history. Both his lighting and his modern furniture pieces have a timeless quality regardless of their contemporary design, shown in simple lines and unique glass, fabric and aluminum combinations. The pieces appear soft and approachable while maintaining a sharp distinction.
