Beautiful Fan

We really liked how this fan looks. We had no trouble with installation or assembly. I think it lights the space really well--the room it is in is about 14 by 12 and it lights the whole space but it is not a blinding bright light. THe dimmer works great and you can set it as a dimmed level for when you turn it off and on. The only issue was that it is too close to the ceiling so we need a downrod which I wish Lumens sold with it or at least recommended it. It's a very pretty fan.

Great Modern Option

This was our first DC-motor fan and I am amazed at the difference in sound and performance. Absolutely zero noise other than it cutting through the air! It was easy to install, and looks great with our modern decor. The only issue we've had is the internal fuse has tripped a few times when the fan was on high speed (6) with the light on. It was however about 85 degrees in the room since our AC had stopped working. Under normal circumstances it runs fine. We leave it on a lower speed most of the time i.e. 3-4, and it moves plenty of air. Using the included 6" downrod and there was no balancing required. Overall happy with this purchase. Wish it was a touch cheaper however. Will probably pick up a wall control at some point.

Great in an angular room

Because we have walls that aren't perpendicular, this fan's angled blade ends fit right in. My opinion: Minka Aire fans are the best (affordable) fans, but I wish they would ship wall switches to work on all fans and not just some. This fan works only with a remote which is much more cumbersome and slow to respond than a hard-wired wall switch. I know it's supposed to be more convenient to have it with you, but we have way too many remotes floating around, and actually getting up out of the chair to turn on a fan is not a bad thing--might even qualify as exercise! After having installed other brands of fans, and finally giving up and returning them, I won't even consider purchasing any fans except Minka Aire.

Beautiful, elegant design

I was looking for a contemporary design with clean lines. This fan looks better in person than it does in photos. The DC motor is silent, the remote is easy to use, the lamp dims nicely. Installation was very straightforward. Instructions were easy to follow. I'm happy with the purchase.

Outstanding Large-Room Ceiling Fan

The Raptor by Minka is a 60-inch, 5-blade, LED light fan that provides quiet, but large amounts of airflow needed for large rooms. The Direct Current (DC) motor is silent and the LED light is ver bright. Along with Minka Technical Support of "real humans" and the great LUMENS customer support, the Raptor fan cannot be best for quality and price
