Pinup LED Ceiling Fan

We needed a ceiling fan for the large television/fireplace area of our new open concept home. We needed a low-profile fan and knew we didn't want something that "ceiling-fan" looking, but also didn't want something over the top funky that distracted from a sculptured painting we'd commission for the dining area of the space We shopped online, drove about 300 miles to various lighting shops in the southeast to see various designs, but nothing seemed right. I don't remember where we first saw the Pinup, but my wife and I both said at the same time, "That's unique!" Our initial concerns were that while it was unique, it might not be a very effective fan, and that it might be too busy and distracting from the rest of the decor. We kept searching for a few more days, but we kept going back to Lumens.com to look at the Pinup. It had what we wanted in terms of appearance and dimensions, and it was a fan both of us liked (a notable factor in itself). After a conversation with the representative from Lumens regarding delivery (in the few days before Thanksgiving), we bought the fan. The fan is even better than we'd hoped. It fits perfectly in the space, and it draws attention whether it's running or still. The flowing lines and counter-rotating blades (small blades inside are surrounded by the petal-like larger blades) are almost hypnotic, especially at low speeds. Rather than drawing attention from other design factors in the area, it actually adds to and compliments them, and even though it's installed near the wall mounted tv, it isn't distracting. And the fan is really effective and functional The remote makes it easy to operate (including being able to reverse the fan without climbing up to access a switch on the fan itself), fan speeds range from a very subtle hint of movement to a solid breeze, and the fan remains quiet across them all. The style may not be for everyone, but we've been delighted with the fan and with Lumens customer service.
