The Model Pendant from Loomiosa cuts through the air with a flowy set of hand-arranged curves dressed in a clean gradient of light. The pendant’s interpretation as a butterfly or figure 8 shows designer Daniel Mato’s knack for creating both ordinary and extraordinary visuals. Mato’s work balances art with science. Here, a fine wire suspension defines the piece’s gravity-defying character. A contoured framework hangs below while holding a series of rods that create a wing or fabric-like silhouette. The lamp at the center lays its radiant light over the rods for a dramatic graphic silhouette. This light fans out across the room as an uplifting atmosphere.
