This fan was installed outdoors on my front porch as part of an ongoing renovation of a 1926 bungalow. The design of the fan is discreet and doesn't distract from the historic beauty of the home. Assembly is very easy and wiring and installation was straightforward enough for a self install. I am not a professional electrician, but I do have a decent amount of experience with working with fixtures and wiring. I exchanged the slide dial control for a rotating dial as I prefer that means of control - there was no issue with compatibility. The construction of the fan appears very durable - the powder coated aluminum won't rust and won't warp or sag in our hot humid environment. It is installed on a 9' ceiling and there's no issue with the height/clearance. Our porch is about 8'x8' and the fan is a nice scale for the space.

We selected this for an outdoor space because of the metal blades. Our old fan with plastic blades was melted by the heaters. Great colors and size!

I bought two of these and hung them using longer downrods on my patio. Very easy to install and quiet to operate. Sleek modern design. Very happy with this purchase.

Useless fan. Do not buy.

Fan is useless. Barely moves air. Only goes one speed. Tried to return but was given a new receiver to try out. Same issue. My fault for not looking at specs more closely but I bought it from reputable lighting store. The specs say it all - crappy speed and airflow.
We bought same fan in smaller size for indoors. The three speeds work but again- minimal airflow from each.
