Gridlock Wall Sconce

Add a bold and unpretentious presence to indoor walls with the Gridlock Wall Sconce from Roll & Hill. A 2012 design by Philippe Malouin, its brass and steel construction extends from a square wall mount, placing strong lamping emerging from the center of a wall plate. Each fixture is subtly unique to any others, with thousands of small brass fittings assembled by hand, a contrast to labor-saving modernity. While the blocky construction salutes Brutalist directness, relieved by angular accents through the open grid blocks that give the fixture its name, the clever construction casts angular shadows. At the same time, the rich metalwork is burnished from within.
