Very nice, stylish light

Really love the look/style of this light in our in-home office. The color and brightness of the light it gives off is good too. The only negative is the base of the light doesn't easily lay flush against the ceiling so a ring of light comes through there also. Not a big deal but wish that didn't show.

This Asher light from Ellen DeGeneres is splendid. I love the golden touch on the interior and the clean white exterior. I use it with 3 dimmable LED and it's perfect for my kitchen! Using led is a good idea since replacing the light bulbs is a bit challenging because you need to get the whole light down. Instructions are clear enough.

While this lamp does look great there is one annoying design flaw. The cover needs to be attached to the bulb housing plate using three screws and they are very hard to get to as they are close to the ceiling. If you get this lamp I would advise using a flexible drill bit to avoid marring the ceiling with your drill when attaching the cover. Also, you'll want to use LEDs to avoid frequent changing of the bulbs because it really is a pain. A clip system would have been a much smarter solution for this lamp. Other than this I echo others complaints of light leaking where the cover meets the ceiling as well as the poorly applied gold band. For this price I would expect a bit more in design and QC.

Simple and Elegant!

Perfect addition to our living room, understated but elegant. The gold is distressed and so is not over powering but adds just the right amount of interest. Easy to assemble and mount. Only downside is there is a little light leakage at the top.
