In fact, there are two main categories of closeout items at Lumens where you can find major discounts: open-box returns and discontinued items.

What Does Open Box Mean and How Does it Work?

  1. Open-box returns are actually new items. The only thing notable about them is that their original packaging has been opened.

  2. After receiving and opening the new lighting fixture, lamp, ceiling fan, furniture piece or home decor item, the original buyer changed their mind and returned the item with it and all of its components otherwise intact.

  3. We inspect the product to make sure it hasn't been damaged or tampered with to guarantee you a new-condition, high quality product.

  4. For us, it means being able to offer massive discounts for timeless products while not having to resort to throwing away products just because they were opened.

  5. For you, it means saving hundreds on discount lighting, ceiling fans and furniture.

What Are Closeout Items?

Lumens offers a great selection of high-quality closeout items from our lighting, furniture, fans and home furnishings departments. The best part is that, while their closeout status means significant markdowns, there is nothing mechanically or structurally wrong with any of these products. In most cases, the item simply didn't fit in the buyer's home or the interior designer's project and just needed to be returned. The item is in completely new condition, but its original packaging has been opened. This essentially means you get to own one of your favorite lamps plus you get it at a fraction of the price.

Discontinued items are lighting fixtures and ceiling fans that are no longer being manufactured by their respective brands and are priced accordingly for quick sale. Since these closeout lighting fixtures, fans and discontinued home accessories are priced to move, they tend to rotate through quickly, so be sure to check back often.

Please note that the sale of open-box items are final. No returns will be accepted, no other promotions apply and quantities are limited to the stock on hand. Once it is gone, it's gone.
