Sharp angles and natural wood grain distinguish the Fritz Hansen Grand Prix Chair - Natural Veneer. Originally designed in 1955 by Arne Jacobsen (and given its name at the same time it received the Grand Prix at the 1957 Triennale exhibition in Milan), the Grand Prix has an angular form made here out of a natural beech or walnut veneer.
Established in 1872 in Copenhagen, Fritz Hansen has since come to epitomize the mid-century Danish Modern aesthetic. Blending craftsmanship with innovation, Fritz Hansen is particularly well-noted for their laminated and molded wood veneer furniture. Pieces from VicoMagistretti, PieroLissoni and, especially, Arne Jacobsen have become icons of modern furniture design.
