The company was founded in New Milford, CT in 1995 by Peter and Stephanie Kahane. Since then, it has been supplying design-savvy consumers in the United States with the best designs of the past century.
Over the years, Ameico has acquired an impressive stable of designers and design companies from all over Europe, including Essey, Santa and Cole, Carl Mertens, Produzione Privata, Max Bill and many others.
Ameico is not ageist when it comes to contemporary design. It is their view that, while they may come from different eras, the modern home accessories and lighting products that Ameico carries all share common characteristics. They are all made with a high level of creative energy, have authentic and original contemporary design and display exquisite craftsmanship. These are products that stand the test of time both functionally and stylistically.
