OXO Peugeot Award winners Voon Wong and Benson Saw use their disparate backgrounds in architecture, design and engineering to develop lighting with an unconventional aesthetic, including the FontanaArte Loop table lamp. Nominated for a Compasso D'Oro in 2003, the Loop has two rounded halves connected by a spindle on an eccentric axis. The top half quietly rotates around the spindle to reveal the bright white light source within. It's the changing relative position of the lamps' halves that causes a seductive fluctuation of the light's intensity and direction.

Renowned Italian architect, designer and painter Gio Ponti founded FontanaArte in 1932 as the artistic division of glassmaker Luigi Fontana. Ponti used Fontana glass to design lighting filled with his own visionary brand of sensuous, poetic modernism. Today, more than 75 year later, the innovative artists at FontanaArte continue Ponti's legacy, creating expressive and transformative modern lighting designs.
