The Ingo Maurer Holonzki Wall Sconce features a highly realistic holographic image of an incandescent bulb--one that actually appears to be screwed into the real socket. More about the hologram process:
The Holonzki Wall Sconce hologram is created by coating a glass plate in a sensitive emulsion that is then exposed to a powerful pulsed laser with an ultra-fast speed of nine-billionths of a second. The resulting detailed pattern of an incandescent bulb is then laser-etched into each hologram. Finally, a microscopically fine relief pattern is formed in the emulsion layer which, when interacting with light, creates the visible virtual image of the bulb.

Please Note:- Each hologram is made individually by hand. As such, colors and backgrounds are never exactly identical.
- The hologram is subject to environmental influences. The holographic emulsion is a living material which reacts to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. In particular, excessive heat and dryness may damage the lamp.
- Do not expose to direct sunlight, as ultraviolet radiation can lead to chemical changes in the emulsion or cause the hologram to fade.
Care Instructions:
Wipe glass plate with a dry cloth. Do not allow the glass plate to come into contact with water.
