The George Nelson Cigar Bubble Pendant, a 1952 design, is a classic "must have" piece of design history that has transcended both time and trends. It features architect George Nelson's fresh solution to lighting design in the organic form. The lamps were first produced by spray-coating a skeleton of steel wire with a layer of translucent plastic that cuts glare but allows light to softly shine through. The tautly stretched White plastic polymer emphasizes the simple form and sculptural qualities of the lamp.

Modernica is the exclusive manufacturer of the George Nelson Bubble Lamp collection, which includes pendant lighting, table lamps, wall sconces and floor lamps. The Bubble Lamp series was designed by George Nelson in 1947.
