A re-introduction of an iconic Ettore Sottsass halogen torchiere, circa 1982. The Artemide Callimaco Floor Lamp was designed by Sottsass during his post-modern Memphis years--and it shows. The Callimaco features an adventuresome mix of big colors, shapes differently scaled, an industrial-grade dimmer switch and, in the middle of it all, the incongruous (but perhaps handy) polished chrome cabinet handle.

The Callimaco features an adventuresome mix of big colors, shapes differently scaled, an industrial-grade dimmer switch and, in the middle of it all, the incongruous (but perhaps handy) polished chrome cabinet handle.
Since 1959, Artemide has created a wide array of modern table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces and suspensions. Technologically advanced, and with styles ranging from clean and refined to sculptural and avant garde, many Artemide designs--especially the Tolomeo and Tizio--have become icons of contemporary lighting design.
