The appeal of the transitional home is that it is always in style. Known to not overwhelm the senses and as a simple way to decorate the home, transitional lighting combines traditional with modern, creating a pleasing hybrid full of clean lines, smooth shapes and a look that transcends trends. For those sconces going outside, make sure they meet the location rating, either wet or damp, to determine if it can be exposed to direct water or only indirectly, such as under an awning or covered patio. Dark Sky compliance may also need to be met, so, check the fixture’s features for that.

Pendant can be arranged either as a single unit or in a linear arrangement. Pendants can add a comforting and more direct layer of light over kitchen counters and islands or in a foyer as a single unit than the accent-oriented nature of sconces.
