Each is comprised of layers of curling and folding semi-transparent pieces crafted from Opalflex, a patented technopolymer material that is handcrafted into its unique shape, forming a shade reminiscent of intricately structured fabric.
First conceived in 1994 by Italian designer Roberto Ziliani, Slamp lighting has garnered world recognition as being at the top of a very short list of innovative and envelope-pushing lighting companies. Their range of products made of cutting-edge polymer plastics are cold-formed to avoid CO2 emissions, while excess scraps are recycled into beehives. Slamp, with their resounding mantra, "From Italy to Eternity," sets the stage for their newest and most avant-garde collections yet.
