The piece stands tall in a tapered figure whose body is made from painted stainless-steel mesh. Long folds move up and down the structure, they are hand-shaped and welded inch-by-inch into place. A sleek tripod base shows off the airy personality of the piece in fine contours. Light from inside scatters marvelously through the textured holes of the painted surface, creating a soothing presence in the home.
a-emotional light was founded in 1994 as “a by arturo alvarez.” Rebranded in 2020, a-emotional light brings a family of products each unique and irregular, inspired by the landscape of Galica in Northwestern Spain where the company is based.
