A nostalgic design echoing sounds of the past, the Intueri Light Turbaya Table/Wall Lamp contemporizes the look of a gramophone, shining bright light from a flared reflector shade. The bended pipe structure acts as a flat base and can also be hung from the wall as an up or down light (as an up light the shade becomes adjustable). Hand-spun by artisans, the broad metal shade puts forth a staggering amount of diffused illumination which can create direct or accent lighting depending on the orientation of the fixture.
Founded in 2012 by Krisztian Mecs and Jozsef Hegedus, Intueri Light is a young Hungarian lighting company that strives to redefine handmade quality. A strong belief in traditional manufacturing and the craftsman’s relationship to the finished product results in unique lighting pieces that refute the values of mass production. The simple, yet beautifully rendered lamps composed of spun metals and hand-blown glass embody “intuitive” lighting for which the company is named.
