When Eero Saarinen designed the armless Tulip chair in 1957, he sought to distill the essential idea of seating down to its barest elements. The result was an iconic piece of furniture that remains widely popular to this day. The Tulip Armless Chair by Knoll features a fully upholstered inner shell bolstered by removable cushions that fit in seamlessly with its form, improving comfort and completing the retro-modern design.
