The Santa & Cole TMC Floor Lamp updates the original wooden design by Miguel Mila in 1961, exchanging the base for stainless steel and the cardboard shade for polycarbonate. The same mechanics allow the shade to be vertically adjusted, only now a convenient handle (in the same color as the base) is added to slide the shade along the stem, which can then be locked in to place. To turn off the light, simply pull gently on the cord hanging from the shade.
