Key Features
Practical and sophisticated, the Original BTC lighting Task Ceramic Table Lamp captures the essence of authentic British design. Composed of Fine Bone China that is slip-cast and hand-molded in the north of England, the manner in which the clay is fired is what gives the shade a creamy and translucent quality once lit. The flared silhouette broadens the focus of light, and is made accessible with a ball-joint for the shade and adjustable swinging chrome arm.
Founded in 1990 by Peter Bowles, Original BTC is a lighting company rooted in national pride, manufacturing classic and industrial British design for contemporary homes. Encouraging local enterprise, all products are exclusively produced in the UK, utilizing factories in Oxford, Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent to hand-produce and assemble the fine bone china, aluminum and lighting components used in Original BTC fixtures. In 2010, Bowles acquired Davey Lighting (a heritage brand founded in 1885 as a maritime lighting supplier) enriching the brand with industrial-grade designs and traditional craftsmanship.
