Each boxy cylindrical pendant is made from four panes of glass with a rippled texture that is reminiscent of the waves found on the beaches of Tanzania. Using ancient practices, it’s made from thin layers of glass that are formed over a fire and cooled slowly, which also resembles the country’s distinct climate.
Established in 2007 by Joseph Sidof, Shakúff lighting creates modern handblown light pieces inspired by classic Italian glasswork. Composed of skilled artisans and glassblowers, the brand brings imaginative designs to life for commercial and residential spaces alike.
