An artful sketch depicted in light. The Squiggle LED Chandelier from Rotaliana by Luminart is a showstopping piece luring you in with gentle curves and an intriguing pattern of hexagonal shapes. The idea for the piece came to designer Paolo Rizzatto as a child when he first saw the flowing neon installation by Lucio Fontana for the 9th Triennale of Milan. Rizzatto push towards technology and functionality led him to give his contemporary take on artful design. This piece envelops a room with a line. A single contour draws overhead with soft bends that flow in every direction. The contour is made from a metal exoskeleton comprised of irregular hexagonal shapes. These shapes give a graphic quality to the piece and give a light a softer look. Cutting-edge LEDs move continuously with the structure to provide a spacious spread of light. The magical light creates an intriguing ambiance and silhouettes the shapely construction.
