Make a considered, industrial addition to indoor side tables and work surfaces with the Spring Balanced Table Lamp from Midgard. An update of the 1950 design made in Germany, it uses a low-profile circular base of powder-coated steel paired with a steel frame to support strong lamping set inside a dome shade of slim aluminum with a toggle switch. The airy arrangement of the table lamp’s structure is supported by a series of springs that keep the lamp solidly in place, while each articulated point offers additional ability to reposition the lamping.
German-based Midgard was founded by Curt Fischer in 1919. Largely considered the inventor of tractable light, Midgard lighting has a legendary history as the main supplier of lamps for the Bauhaus. Now led by David Einsiedler and Joke Rasch, Midgard lighting specializes in five designs: AYNO, K831, TYP113, Modular and Springbalanced.
