Its hand-forged steel body forms a rectangular frame standing atop an open square base. A drum-shaped white linen shade is suspended at the top of the frame, containing incandescent lamping and creating a warm and inviting glow. A horizontal rod at the center of the piece makes for a convenient towel or garment rack.
A day trip to Mexico in the 90’s inspired husband and wife David and Jamie to utilize unconventional materials in design. They began incorporating flower pots as lamp bases, and from there the Jamie Young Company was born; focusing on unique materials and taking note on current design trends. By taking influence from their travels and their love of art and history, Jamie Young and David Jeter have sought to build a company that can bring a global aesthetic into a variety of homes.
