A stylish modern piece with coastal vibes. Designed by Arturo Alvarez, the Shio Pendant radiates over a room with optically stunning segments of marine plywood. A diffuser and lighting system conceal themselves elegantly in a radial framework inside. Craftsmen use the edges of the internal structure as an anchoring point for a slew of finely cut plywood strips. The strips dazzle in their sleek striations hinted with a touch of natural warmth. An ambient glow escapes through the crevices of the wooden composition beautifully. A wide opening at the base makes way for an outpour of soft downlighting.
