- Vacuum your pouf regularly. Clean spills correcltly before they dry. When necessary, take your pouf to an upholstery specialist dry-cleaner. For stains that come from coffee, tea, milk, chocolate, wine, blood, or pets, use a mixture of diluted detergent, vinegar, and warm water. For stains that come from grease, wax, or ink, use a perchloroethylene solvent. For stains that come from mud, or general dirt stains, use ammonia and warm water.
