Best. Fan. Ever!
I love this fan. It’s sleek, low profile design is perfect! This fan runs 24/7 and is dead quiet! Perfect for the bedroom (dimmable light is a bonus). I expected it to be difficult to install due to the light kit. Not at all! Took just a few minutes and was straight forward.

Pros outweigh the cons
Love how Sabot unobtrusively blends into my modern home design. Operates relatively quiet on all 6 speeds. If you're hoping the LED light is bright enough to provide more than ambient level lighting, you'll be disappointed. The lighting is unattractive yellow-hued (3000 kelvin) and looks horrible in the middle of my 5000 kelvin LED recessed lights. Just won't use the Sabot's light so problem solved. Do wish Minka would "up their game" and offer 4000 or 5000 kelvin lighting in their fans. One major problem after the straightforward installation. Remote would turn on light, but wouldn't "communicate" with the fan. Lumens customer service to the rescue. They put me in touch with Minka technical support. A replacement remote & remote receiver unit was expediently shipped. The downside was disassembling the fan body and replacing the receiver unit. Someone not comfortable with wiring might find the task somewhat daunting and somewhat put out if they had to pay labor to have this done. All-in-all, I'm pleased with the Sabot and highly recommend Lumens based on their prompt & courteous customer service.

Love the fans just have one problem.
We love the fans and installation was a breeze. We are having one problem that has stumped us. We have two fans in our family room and they are both on the factory setting but we are unable to get them synced together. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Big Fan..light a bit dim
First of all, installation was very easy on this fan and we had no hiccups. Only 1 blade out of 2 fans needed balancing to spin freely at high speed.
I have 2 Sabot fans in 2 bedrooms, measuring 14.5ft x 12.5ft with 10 foot ceilings. The Sabot is a little too big for the rooms. The fans kinda take over. Usually, a fan with 52inch blades would be just right for larger bedrooms, but the overall dimensions of the Sabot is a little too big for my taste. Maybe having 5 blades gives the appearance of a larger fan.
The LED light kit is adequate to augment light already in the room, but don't expect to light up a room on its own. The dimmest setting is basically a nightlight, and the brightest setting maybe a 60-75watt equivalent bulb.
It's really my fault for not seeing the size of the fan in person before purchasing. I go back and forth between considering replacing the fans, but they are really OK. I think this fan is best suited for larger areas.

Good fan, Lumens is even better!
Purchased the Minka Aire Sabot ceiling fan from Lumens. Of the 6 Minka Aire fans I have in my home, this was the easiest to install. Really like the built-in remote receiver, so there was no fumbling with a separate canopy mounted receiver. Also like the 6-speed controller. Unfortunately, the first fan that was sent had a slight warping in the motor assembly so that it wobbled and had a metal-on-metal rubbing sound. However, Lumens customer service was absolutely terrific to deal with. They promptly sent out a replacement fan and cover the return shipping. The 2nd Sabot fan was in perfect working order, and is very quiet in its operation. Very happy with this fan, and even happier with Lumens!

Nice fan, efficient and looks good
I have owned a few Minka Aire fans and I like this fan a lot despite a couple of cons. On the positive side, it looks great. I like the clean modern design; it’s not bulky. The fan has a DC motor and LED light so it’s very efficient. The fan comes with a remote control for light on/off, light dimming, fan speed and direction. It has 6 speeds! On the negative side, Minka doesn’t yet offer a wall control (one that replaces the light switch). I much prefer having a wall control, which offers same functions as the hand held remote (and doesn’t get lost). The good thing is that if you do turn off electricity with a regular wall switch, the fan remembers light and speed settings but one annoying thing is that you have to wait a few seconds before you turn the switch back on, otherwise fan gets confused and does nothing. Minka, please make a wall control for this fan! Second negative is that the LED light is fairly dim. It’s fine for a bedroom but for an office, you will want additional light source. If Minka offered the optional wall control, I would rate it a 5.
