An outwardly simple fixture that drops down from a stepped ceiling mount via a thin cable, its single-socket illuminator is set inside a glass globe shade left open at the bottom for a pool of direct downlight. The glass is wrapped on the sides by a half-spherical metal shade pierced with pinholes around its lower edge, allowing light mellowed by the shade to pass through and warm up the fixture’s surroundings.
