The Phoenix Day Story
Originally founded in 1850 in San Francisco, CA, Phoenix Day Company is a luxury brand with an expertise in metalwork and high-quality lighting fixtures for commercial and residential applications. Prior to the 1906 earthquake, the company was branded under the name Thomas Day Co., but changed to their current namesake as a symbol of San Francisco’s rebirth after the destruction.
In the midst of this transition along with the rebuilding of San Francisco, Phoenix Day Company further matured as a manufacturer, having successfully changed gears from gas fueled lighting to modern day electricity. With such longevity in business, Phoenix Day Company lends an heirloom quality to their designs that are both elegant and approachable for today’s interiors.

Noteworthy Products from Phoenix Day
The Phoenix Day Forma Pendant isn’t your average drum shade, featuring an industrial metal cage to give the simple shape an edge. The vertical struts make their way around the entire shade, curving underneath to hold the shade perfectly in place. Depending on the choice of shade, the Forma creates a broad range of diffused light or a focused column of downlight.
