The PH 4 1/2 - 4 Glass Pendant Light from Louis Poulsen is part of a lighting family that can be called timeless. Designed by Poul Henningsen in the mid 1920's using the logarithmic spiral as a template, the eventual move from metal to glass shades resulted in an evenness and expansiveness of the light distribution. The numbering series references shade size combinations (4.5=45cm, and so forth), with the descending configurations affording the opportunity to hang at lower heights.
