Transitional Pendant Lights

The transitional style takes from traditional and modern to form something new and different. Ideal for its hybrid nature, transitional design allows a personal space to be relevant and appealing for years on end without need of upgrades. Transitional pendant lights are a small part of establishing a transitional style in the home. Transitional pendant lighting can come in multiple forms, shapes and sizes, emphasizing a clean and appealing look that feels welcoming to all who enter and occupy the room.

Because transitional style is a collection of styles, consider the style of the individual piece before buying. Each piece is going to appeal for different reasons, so it is important to make sure the piece won’t clash with existing fixtures.

For a wider and more prominent look, take a look at transitional drum pendant lighting to command more of a presence and make a statement in the room. For a less pronounced and understated quality, consider transitional mini pendant lighting. Regardless of style, pendant lights can be effective as a single unit or in groups or a linear arrangement.

Other Considerations

Regardless of style, pendants must be measured properly to ensure they work in the space. The size of a pendant can make or break the space around it, as a fixture that is too small may not make the impact or statement intended, while a piece too large can overwhelm and clash with the size of the room and other objects nearby.

The light output of the fixture is also paramount, as too much or too little light can shape the space from what was intended, under or overwhelming it. This can be remedied by looking for a fixture that can be dimmed, allowing the tone of the room to shift with ease.
