A reference to the original design by Barba Corsini, the Gubi lighting Pedrera H20 Table Lamp is a faithful rendition of the iconic floor lamp which sat in the apartments of “La Pedrera” in Barcelona. Designed by Joaquim Ruiz Millet with his mentor—Corsini—in mind, the pure geometry and ambient light is left untouched in the fixture, but changed slightly where the perforated holes in the metal diffuser are more populous and smaller. This allows less overt light through, making the metal glow when lit, splashing strong direct light below and above as well.
In 2001, Jacob and Sebastian Gubi took over their parent’s furniture business, transforming Gubi in to an internationally recognized design house for lighting, furniture and accessories. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Gubi is a purveyor of timeless and emerging designs, many of which are iconic and can be found in permanent collections around the world.
