The Pangen Flushmount is a piece that has been in the oven for years at the Historical Archive of Fontana Arte, maturing beautifully into a clean, continuous design. A first glance at the Pangen hits you with a punch of polish made by the painted aluminum structure’s lacquered finish. The designer’s continuous efforts in refining the original concept bear fruit in the picture-perfect dimensions of its dome shade. A polycarbonate diffuser conceals a trio of bulbs, giving the illusion of a miraculous wash of light coming from thin air.
Renowned Italian architect, designer and painter Gio Ponti founded FontanaArte in 1932 as the artistic division of glassmaker Luigi Fontana. Ponti used Fontana glass to design lighting filled with his own visionary brand of sensuous, poetic modernism. Today, more than 75 years later, the innovative artists at FontanaArte continue Pontis legacy, creating expressive and transformative modern lighting designs.
