When iconic designer Pierre Paulin created the Pacha Returning Swivel Upholstered Lounge Chair in 1975, he wanted to express the feeling of “sitting on clouds.” The collection was ahead of its time and is now finally celebrated for its joyful modernism and easy elegance. Pacha’s low seat is comfortable, plump, and supportive, and its organic form is enhanced by attention to ergonomics and craftsmanship. With a small footprint and delightful and useful swivel base Pacha provides a charming statement for any space.
In 2001, Jacob and Sebastian Gubi took over their parent’s furniture business, transforming GUBI in to an internationally recognized design house for lighting, furniture, and accessories. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, GUBI is a purveyor of timeless and emerging designs, many of which are iconic and can be found in permanent collections around the world.
