The result of blending their expertise in glassworking, metalsmithing, and craft art with design and architecture, this simple fixture uses a shallow brass ring to steady a Czech hand-blown spherical glass shade that gentles the light beneath it. Each shade is unique, featuring a specific fire-polished location where the piece is separated from the glassblower’s pipe.
SkLO is a collaborative design company founded by Pavel Hanousek, Karen Gilbert, and Paul Pavlak. Based out of Healdsburg, CA, the design team collaborates with master glassmakers in the Czech Republic. SkLO glass is built to order, artisans skillfully hand-blow glass for each of the lighting fixtures and objects in the collection. As such each piece is unique, and slight variation is welcome, emphasizing the beauty of the handmade process with every design.
