Pulling its name from the star of the same name, the Nunki Coffee Table from Iacoli is a journey for the eyes, captivating with versatility in shape and an asymmetric design. The table’s sculptural aesthetic highlights Iacoli’s exploration of the way lines, planes, and volumes intersect space. The Seattle-based designer follows this exploration with an ethos centered on beauty, quality, and style. A glass tabletop lets you see through to the playful volumes inside. An L-shaped framework mesmerizes with clean lines and sharp angles. On the opposite side, a glass cylinder charms in its round, reflective form. The coffee table heightens the aesthetic depth of the contemporary space.

Iacoli and McAllister make nice things. Very nice things. The pair take a reductive approach to design, toying with the balance of positive and negative spatiality while adhering to a core set of design principles that frame their collective process - proportion, scale, color and fabrication. Coupled with the duo's constant exploration of material mediums and various industrial processes, their seamlessly attuned sensibilities infuse the studio's work with a clean and chromatic Donald Judd-like minimalism.
