Key Features
The Modular Table Lamp from Midgard is an elegant, adjustable piece, crafted as an answer to both public and private lighting needs. Designed in 1920, the piece draws from Midgard’s innovative approach to articulating lamps. This clean-lined piece complements both modern and traditional home settings. It makes the most of its space with a low-profile base and a slender arm composition. This arm features 3 joints, 2 for overall height adjustability and one for the angle adjustability of the shade. The tapered shade sports intricate details and a switch that showcases the robust metals and the hand of the craftsmen. The deep-dish shade wraps the bulb to prevent side glare while helping to direct a fanned-out glow.
German-based Midgard was founded by Curt Fischer in 1919. Largely considered the inventor of tractable light, Midgard lighting has a legendary history as the main supplier of lamps for the Bauhaus. Now led by David Einsiedler and Joke Rasch, Midgard lighting specializes in five designs: AYNO, K831, TYP113, Modular and Springbalanced.
