Creator Shakuff’s goal for the piece is to transmit the natural beauty of light. To do this, glass blowing is employed with an emphasis on craft and art. Craftsmanship is in clear display on the shades as they seamlessly transition from a frosted surface to a clear one. The glare-reducing frosted side and the amplifying clear side seduce with a shared globe outline. These globes appear to float overhead like delicate dots with help of a surrounding adjustable suspension. The piece turns on to create a grand aura of illumination with mellow and vibrant qualities.
