Sophisticated retro aesthetics with a sense of fun. Lose yourself in the engaging balance of light-filled shapes in the Lizak Linear Suspension from Bert Frank. It’s a piece showcasing the UK-based designer’s great attention to detail and the unrivaled skill of its Birmingham craftsmen. Feel is central to Bert Frank’s work. The designer wants you to easily sense through your eyes and with your hands the permanence of the materials used. In this piece, elegant brass is tuned to create the slender, graphic-like frame. Fitted at the ends, an artful, contrasting pair or cylindrical and sphere glass shades delight the eyes in a view that calls back to the funky 70s. They each make a statement, the semi-clear cylinder with its brass accent wrap and the opal globe with its soft milky surface. A flip of the switch sends the eyes moving from the cylinder to the sphere and back, as light exits uniquely with a colored shine and as a soothing accent, respectively.
Bert Frank was founded in 2013 by Adam Yeates and Robbie Llewellyn and is based in the United Kingdom. The brand focuses on LED designs inspired by European styles and architectural elements. Bert Frank's award-winning designs are made exclusively in the UK.
