In his efforts to hide the seams of pressed glass, Oiva Toikka came up with rows of glass droplets. This unique decorative technique led to the creation of the bubbly Kastehelmi collection (or "dewdrops," in Finnish), which includes the Iittala Kastehelmi Bowl. The effect on a table is sparkling and pleasingly textural.
