The jefdesigns Story
Based out of a small studio in Portland, Oregon, jefdesigns is a lighting and accessories brand founded by designer Joe Futschik in 2003. The brand focuses mainly on graphic design and digital printmaking, offering a wide range of rustic modern and abstract designs for drum pendants, wall sconces and table lamps.

Why We Love jefdesigns
Every visual seen throughout the collection is all Joe Futschik. Using the same methods for his two-dimensional art prints, Futschik has found the perfect balance between the graphic arts and artistically diffused light. His expertise with printmaking is best seen by the luminous quality of each fixture; for example, he is able to achieve the look of natural wood veneer with only the use of linen, and as a result, all of his designs have a glowing quality once lit.
Fun Facts About jefdesigns
The versatility of digital printmaking has led Futschik to branch out even further from just lighting. He also applies his graphic prints to cell phone cases, laptop skins, pillowcases and duvet covers.
Noteworthy Lighting From jefdesigns
The jefdesigns Geode Pendant patterns a drum shade with jagged facets, mixing wood grain tones with pops of bright color. The print is so detailed that the shade appears to be made of real wood veneer, when in fact the entire image is digitally printed on a white linen shade. Opaque when unlit but translucent once lit, the Geode creates both ambient and general light for contemporary-minded spaces.
