Sharper than the delicate petals of its namesake, the MacMaster Iris Pendant surrounds a central light source with handcrafted strips of Birch plywood. Light illuminates the underside of each bent petal, creating a gentle source of ambient light. Each piece of ply is painstakingly smoothed, bent and assembled in their Worcestershire workshop, guaranteeing the uniqueness and quality of each fixture.
Founded in 2009 by Alex MacMaster, MacMaster is a close-knit group of craftsmen specializing in bespoke wood lighting and furniture design in the English countryside. All aspects of design, development and production are handled in their small studio in Worcestershire, ensuring the quality and uniqueness of each product. Using only FSC and PEFC certified timbers, MacMaster carries out a variety of sustainable manufacturing methods for all product ranges.
