A poetic interpretation of the hanging industrial luminaire. The Ila Mini Pendant from Plato Design makes an impression with handcrafted shapes filled in with strong color and riveting light. Creator Plato Design’s pieces find a balance between texture, refinement, and color to serve many uses. This pendant’s refined cord suspension lets it slot into a tight nook or serve as part of a series over a table. Texture meets the eye as a concrete lamp holder that sports a crisp, cylindrical outline. The rich color of the holder heightens the bright feel of the globe below. The globe radiates an ambient light and a soft cast glow.
An Italian design company, Plato Design was founded in 2016 by Alessandro Mattei and Caterina Naglieri. Each product is made sustainably with concrete or wood and is designed and assembled by hand in the company’s workshop in the Umbrian countryside.
