The Hold Pin 1.21 Pendant by SkLO is an expressive display of handblown Czech glasswork. Designed by the brands founding duo, Paul Pavlak and Karen Gilbert, this organically shaped design embraces their love of honest materials and simple, subtly beautiful pieces. A continuous, curved, brass pin suspends an individually made glass vessel that is formed without the use of a mold, resulting in a unique piece that has a softly curved handle above its body. The open arc allows a brass cup and socket attached to a fabric wrapped cord to be draped within this glass piece, so a layer of light can highlight its beautiful silhouette and the environment around it.
SkLO is a collaborative design company founded by Pavel Hanousek, Karen Gilbert, and Paul Pavlak. Based out of Healdsburg, CA, the design team collaborates with master glassmakers in the Czech Republic. SkLO glass is built to order, artisans skillfully hand-blow glass for each of the lighting fixtures and objects in the collection. As such each piece is unique, and slight variation is welcome, emphasizing the beauty of the handmade process with every design.
