Key Features
Introduce a stylish and elegant modern piece to the smaller surfaces of your home. The Hector Table Lamp from Original BTC brings a sense of flow with it wherever it is placed, established by a silhouette containing complementary slim and shining metal and precisely manufactured bone china. Using traditional methods, a slip (a mix of water and clay) is poured into a mold, and once set, the mold is split, and the shade is left to dry. The next day the china is fettled and sponged to get rid of any imperfections. The rounded base slightly rises, mounting the brass body which, in turn, leads to a matching, conical bone china shade that holds a single bulb. Each piece is made by highly skilled craftsmen in Stoke-on-Trent, England, where few porcelain factories remain. The light is bright and focused, bringing a high level of illumination precisely to the spaces that need it the most.
Founded in 1990 by Peter Bowles, Original BTC is a lighting company rooted in national pride, manufacturing classic and industrial British design for contemporary homes. Encouraging local enterprise, all products are exclusively produced in the UK, utilizing factories in Oxford, Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent to hand-produce and assemble the fine bone china, aluminum and lighting components used in Original BTC fixtures. In 2010, Bowles acquired Davey Lighting (a heritage brand founded in 1885 as a maritime lighting supplier) enriching the brand with industrial-grade designs and traditional craftsmanship.
