Key Features
The Original BTC Hatton 3 Wall Sconce is a deeply faceted diamond-cut shade, bridging beautiful geometry with traditional ceramics. Handcrafted from fine bone china in the north of England, artisans follow a meticulous process that dates back centuries, casting and firing the porcelain before it reaches the desired translucence once lit. The tall shade sits closely against the wall, emitting flattering ambient light that is warmed by the natural white of the porcelain.
Founded in 1990 by Peter Bowles, Original BTC is a lighting company rooted in national pride, manufacturing classic and industrial British design for contemporary homes. Encouraging local enterprise, all products are exclusively produced in the UK, utilizing factories in Oxford, Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent to hand-produce and assemble the fine bone china, aluminum and lighting components used in Original BTC fixtures. In 2010, Bowles acquired Davey Lighting (a heritage brand founded in 1885 as a maritime lighting supplier) enriching the brand with industrial-grade designs and traditional craftsmanship.
