Challenging convention, the Formakami JH3 Pendant by &Tradition is a contemporary interpretation of the classic paper lantern by artist and designer Jamie Hayon. Inspired by the history of these light sources and the way each has been created with a different shape, size, and color to represent a different meaning, this elegant and lightweight pendant is a handmade representation of the importance lamps hold in our lives. Built with a wish to bring illumination to people’s lives, the bottom portion of this shapely pendant is open-cut to symbolically drive out darkness to leave room for hope and light everywhere.
&Tradition aims to bridge the values of solid handicraft to contemporary design. Their collection not only covers iconic designs and undiscovered gems from the masters of yesterday, but it also features new works from leading designers of today and from the talent of tomorrow. Formally known as Unique Copenhagen, &Tradition encourages the creation of what may become the classics of the future.
