Key Features
The Flux LED Floor Lamp from Lasvit is a handcrafted and hand-painted piece, referencing the decorative elements of Asian ceramics in a design inspired by light beaming off the ocean’s receding tide. Creators ED Ng & Terence Ngan see their pieces as ways to tell a story. This floor lamp evokes the natural phenomenon it’s named after and the images seen on a day at the beach. The piece reflects the hand of the artisan from top to bottom. Resting on a low-profile base, artists handcraft the piece from a textured glass that suggests the undulations of the moving water. A wavy shape is hand-painted at the base in contrast to the clear glass, tieing the piece to traditional Asian ceramics and the colors of the ocean. Light gives these surfaces a sea of highlights as it streams up in a filling atmospheric glow.
Founded in 2007 in Liberic, Czech Republic by Leon Jakimic, Lasvit brings premier and sculptural glass arrangements to the world. Taken from the Czech words for ‘love’ and ‘light,’ Lasvit provides a series of glass lighting and home décor products crafted with utmost care and skill.
